Authorities in London are reopening up the probe of Amy Winehouse death after the coroner resigned amid questions of her credentials. The "Back to Black" singer  suffered from many drug addictions was said to die of an accidental alcohol poisoning.

A new hearing will take place by the Camden Council after London officials found that the coroner lacked proper qualifications. The Assistant deputy coroner Suzanne Greenaway who recently resigned was appointed by her husband, Andrew Reid, the coroner for inner north London who was suspended and resigned early this month.

In July 2011, the 27-year-old singer was found dead in her home in London of alcohol poisoning. The singer had blood-alcohol levels at more than five times the legal limit for driving and Greenway's testimony showed that there was no traces of illegal drugs in Winehouse's blood.

The Winehouse spokesman Chris Goodman said the family did not request a new hearing.
