Following the first few weeks of the new season, ESPN.com offers an official break-down of all 30 MLB teams. Both Minnesota and St. Louis snag top pots in the power rankings:
Twins (11): "An ugly week for the Twins ended on a high note, with a win over Texas to end a five-game losing streak in Byron Buxton's MLB debut." Nick Nelson, Twins Daily
Minnesota currently hold a steady 34-29 winning record, and remain 2nd in the American League Central Division.
Cardinals (1): "Second-year second baseman Kolten Wong (.353 OBP/.465 SLG) helped the Cardinals maintain their comfortable lead in the NL Central despite losing another key player to the disabled list in starting pitcher Lance Lynn." Matt Philip, Fungoes
With that impressive standing, St. Louis snags 42 wins and 21 losses and maintains the 1st spot in the National League Central Division. The Cardinals snagged a Game 1 victory against the Twins with a score of 3-2.
The afternoon ball game will be broadcasted live on local sports channels FSN and FSMW.
