Season 3 of the popular reality show, Chrisley Knows Best continues on USA Network. In Episode 5, Dollars and Sense, will parents, Todd and Julie Chrisley, ready to teach their son, Chase, and daughter, Savannah, about the fundamentals of saving and spending money.
Savannah is looking online for her college wardrobe. Todd doesn't realize he's going to pay for her clothing. Unfortunately, Todd has caught off her allowance. She now has a budget to figure out her freedom.
Julia is going out to her retreat, leaving Todd alone with the children. She then visits her mother-in-law, who's dressed up like Hulk Hogan. The two are going to spend the weekend together.
While driving, Savannah's car suddenly breaks down. She now needs her father's help and gets in contact with him through Chase.
Julia and Faye are at their fitness party, exercising on their stationary bikes. The two are having trouble keeping with the others. When it's time to do push-ups, they both give a dirty look to their fitness instructor.
While Todd gives a lecture to his daughter, Julia can't stomach her new diet. Chase is having difficulty trying to cook dinner. Because she blew her budget, Savannah now has to get a job.
At her new job, Savannah is dealing with a group of dogs all at once. She suddenly gets tied up with their leashes. They end up chasing after her at the dog park. Savannah needs Chase's help to watch the dogs while she picks up Jackson.
Back at the retreat, Faye and Julie are at last in lines they go up and down the stairs. At the dog park, Chase helps out until Savannah arrives with Jackson. Unfortunately, Savannah was supposed to bring Jackson home.
Savannah is fired by Lindsie because she screwed up Jackson's routine. That means, she's not going to get the money and pay back Chase. Savannah no needs to hold a garage sale, sell her clothing, and pay off her debts.
Julia and Faye are heading over to a BBQ shop after the retreat. At the garage sale, Savannah is making more money than expected. She will have enough to pay everyone back. She also sold some of her father's stuff.
With the money she earned from the garage sale, Savannah is able to save up and start her own savings account.
