Gay had just celebrated a birthday the week the massacre happened and is remembered by her parents as a vibrant child who loved peanut butter, and how she needed a new spoon for every time she scooped and would leave trails of spoons with peanut butter all over the house.
Marquez-Greene became a new member of Newtown nearly two months ago when her family decided to move their because of their clean reputation. Coming from a musical family, the six-year-old was remembered for her lovely voice and love for music,"Ana had a song," said the Rev. Paul Echtenkamp of Glory Chapel International Cathedral in Hartford. "It just came out of her."
Finally, Parker, was remembered for being a kindhearted six-year-old who always knew when someone was sad and didn't hesitate to make a card or draw a picture in order to make people smile. Her father struggles with telling her younger siblings about the death of their older sister however he holds no grudge against the Adam Lanza, the killer, "I'm so blessed to be her dad," Parker said.
On Friday, Emilie was buried in Ogden, Utah (where they previously lived before moving to Newtown) and the family held a memorial service releasing 26 lanterns as her father released the final pink lantern which was his daughter's favorite color.
