As we celebrate Father's Day 2015, this is the perfect opportunity to check out who are the Best And Worst Superhero Dads in the comic book universe. It's a tough job being a parent and raising a child, but somehow they make it look easy. We're looking at you Uncle Ben, Master Splinter, and Jonathan Kent.

Check out who we think are the best superhero dads in the comic book universe here:

Jack Drake

By Yasmin Merchant

He may not have always been perfect, but his son would constantly disappear and was hanging out with Bruce Wayne way too much. When he discovered his son was Robin, Jack was upset at first, but he eventually came around, being proud of his son. But then, of course, he had to die because no one in the Bat-Family can be happy.

Bonus: As Robin, Tim Drake always takes a beating. It hurst Jack too when he has to see his son covered in bloody bruises.

Jonathan Kent

By Yasmin Merchant

If Superman had not landed on the Kents' farm, who knows what kind of person he would be? Jonathan Kent instilled a strong moral sense into his son, which is important for someone who is basically a god among men. So when you think about it, Pa Kent didn't just do a good job as a dad but he basically saved the entire planet by making sure Superman was a good guy.

Bonus: Jonathan Kent went to Hell to save Superman's soul and bring him back to life. Best Dad ever in my book.

Uncle Ben

By Yasmin Merchant

Uncle Ben was always protective of Peter. He even used to shield him from bullies at school. So when Peter failed to protect him, Uncle Ben's famous last words keep pushing him into becoming a hero.

Bonus: We're going to watch Uncle Ben die all over again in the new Spider-Man movie, aren't we?

Alfred Pennyworth

By Yasmin Merchant

Batman may have been the one who adopted a bunch of orphans, but Alfred was often the one who really raised them. Plus, he had to raise Bruce and pretty much still does - the man can't cook or do his own laundry. And what other parent would be so supportive when their kid wants to dress up as a bat and fight crime?

Bonus: In the recent Endgame, after getting his chopped off, Alfred aimed his shotgun and shot off Joker's ear. Who's the real badass in Batman?

Charles Xavier

By Yasmin Merchant

Professor X basically raised the first generation of peaceful mutants, which set the precedent for the following generations. And he continued to seek out mutants who needed the protection and training of his school. Though Professor X sometimes has a dark and manipulative side, he has created a surrogate family for those who needed it.

Bonus: It was the son who killed the father, when Cyclops, possessed by the Phoenix, delivered the deathblow to Professor X.

Bonus Round:

Master Splinter

Most people would look at baby turtles mutating in radioactive ooze and say "gross." But not Master Splinter. He raised the four turtles as his own.

Bonus: Master Splinter went to Purgatory to save Donatello's soul and bring him back to life. Best father a turtle could ever have.
