Apparently, hip-hop mogul Bryan "Birdman" Williams is about to crash and burn. According to rapper Lil Wayne, the entire YMCMB crew is about to jump ship. Soon, Cash Money Records might not even exist!
Does this mean Jay-Z might sign some awesome new acts to Roc Nation?
The popular gossip webloid TMZ reports that Weezy recently added new claims to his bitter lawsuit against Birdman. The entire label is "grossly mismanaged," and the Rich Gang hypeman still owes LOTS of lost profits to LOTS of different people within the industry. The situation's gotten so bad, Drake and Nicki Minaj are hoping to ditch Cash Money, too.
Details still remain unconfirmed, and all three singers still remain mum on Instagram/Twitter.
Meanwhile, the New Orleans emcee just announced that his highly-anticipated "revenge" album #FWA will officially hit airwaves on July 4 (Independence Day). Obviously another jab at the "incompetent" Birdman. Despite the constant drama, Twitter fans can't wait:
@Tharealdavidben: "@LilTunechi #FWA July 4th [fire] new Wayne album and yes it's free [clap]."
@TwistedSanti: "If FWA drops during Ramadan imma just stare at the tracklist & cover all day."
@Dillianoo: "The day Free Weezy Album comes out, not listening to anything else for a week #FWA."
@estebannico19: "I don't think anybody is ready for Wayne's next album.. I'm excited for it #FWA."
@vattttixo: "I hope tidal won't crash tho by doing it this way omg that's goals [crying] #FWA."
@FundsOverBuns: "Wayne finna remind ya'll why he the greatest ever when he drop FWA."
The Free Weezy Album will likely premiere on HOV's exclusive streaming service, Tidal. Wayne's experienced great (and successful) business expenditures with Beyonce's hubby - will this partnership grow if Weezy manages to leave his current "prison?" Stay tuned...
