Houston Rapper Lil' Flip has behind bars after he was pulled over by police in Mansfield, Louisiana for speeding.
The rapper, whose real name is Wesley Eric Weston, Jr. was pulled over by police for speeding on Interstate 49, Dec. 26 travelling at 86mph in a 75 mph zone. When his vehicle 2010 Dodge Challenger, was searched, the police found Bushmaster AR-15 assault rifle and marijuana. He was booked on charges of third-offense possession of marijuana, possession of a firearm in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance and speeding. He was detained at DeSoto Detention Center on $35,000 bond. His co passanger, Olanza Sanders was released after he posted a bond of $25,000, AllHipHop reported.
Flip has been previously arrested with narcotics, Complex reported.
Flip had good success with "U Gotta Feel Me" that featured two Top 40 hits, "Game Over (Flip)" and "Sunshine."
Flip has 11 studio albums to his credit from 2000 to 2010. He has had feuds with rapper, T.I. he had dissed him when T.I was in prison and when he was out he got back to him at WHTA/Hot 107.9's Birthday Bash. They even had an altercation which was eventually suppressed by Rap-a-Lot's Prince when he made them sit and resolve.
Flip also crossed swords with fellow Houston Rapper Paul Wall who Flip stated had idolized him. But Wall was friends with T.I.
Flip was accused of dissing at rapper Slim Thug who also dissed back at Flip and his crew. But now they have both reconciled and moved on.
