The June 24, 2015 edition of WWE's NXT will air on the WWE Network and will continue to build toward Kevin Owens' championship defense against Finn Balor on July 4 in Tokyo.
Last week, Owens and Samoa Joe clashed to a draw as the two men just beat the hell out of each other outside the ring and had to be separated by a dozen officials. So this week, will the two men tussle again? Or have they concluded their feud? Owens still has Balor to deal with, but where does Joe go from here?
Also advertised for tonight is something related to Hideo Itami, who is out with an injury for the next several months. He will likely appear in some capacity to hype the show in Japan, but hopefully we'll get some indication as to his health.
The rest of NXT is currently simmering. The tag division remains focused on Wesley Blake, Buddy Murphy, and Alexa Bliss against Enzo Amore, Big Cass, and Carmella, while the women's division has been silent with the lack of a proper feud for championSasha Banks. Will we see development on either of these fronts tonight?
As always, check back with MStars immediately after the show for a full recap of all the action. But for now, let us know your thoughts, opinions, guesses, and predictions for tonight's broadcast in the comments section.
In case you missed it, here are the results of last week's show:
The show begins with a tribute to the late Dusty Rhodes, who mentored so many talents.
Enzo Amore, Big Cass, and Carmella defeat Wesley Blake, Buddy Murphy, and Alexa Bliss with their usual finish off the top rope.
We see footage of Kevin Owens' attacking John Cena after their match at Money in the Bank, as well as his attack on Machine Gun Kelly on Monday Night Raw.
Backstage, Samoa Joe is asked about his match tonight, and he says Owens is both a prize fighter and a bully who likes to make threats he cannot back up. But tonight, he will beat down the NXT Champion.
We see an extremely long video package on Finn Balor, which includes an emotional speech from Becky Lynch in which she discusses how Balor changed her life by opening a wrestling school in Ireland that gave her a chance to compete. He talks about leaving his home to go to New Japan Pro Wrestling to compete. We'll see part two of this video next week.
Charlotte defeats Kassey with the Figure Four.
Dana Brooke cuts a promo backstage and says everyone just looks at her as a fitness model, but she recently participated in the Arnold Classic Brazil. She says she has replaced Charlotte and that she has earned her place in NXT instead of having her spot handed to her by her family.
Samoa Joe and Kevin Owens goes to a no contest as the two men just beat the hell out of each other to the point where they accidentally hit the referee, who calls for the bell. They continue to fight on the ramp, and it takes more than a dozen officials and security personnel multiple attempts to pull them apart as the show goes off the air.
