Believe it or not, entertainment lovers, celebrities are people first. Which means that they, too, have anxieties, fears, insecurities, and then some. And in a new piece from The Huffington Post, the likes of Caitlyn Jenner, John Mayer, Lena Dunham, Amanda Seyfried and Emma Stone are describing their experiences in having panic attacks.
Per the report, a study shows that over 40 million citizens in the United States "suffer from anxiety and panic disorders." And with that, a number of celebrities have explained what they've gone through.
Take a look at just a few below:
Amanda Seyfried: "I still do get terribly nervous, and that's partly due to the fact I think too much and overanalyze things." The actress goes on to note that she worries about anything from her parents to her dog.
Caitlyn Jenner: Given what she's gone through as of late, in transitioning from Bruce Jenner to Caitlyn Jenner, perhaps it's no surprise to hear that Jenner has suffered from anxiety and panic attacks. She recently noted, "What did I just do? What did I just do to myself?" in speaking, of course, of the fear from the transition.
John Mayer: "Growing up, that was the big fear. ... It was heart palpitations, shortness of breath, coldness and shivers, strange stuff..." he recalls of an attack.
Lena Dunham: While remembering a recent attack, Dunham admitted that she would lay in bed thinking, "...in two and a half years I'll be 30, then 10 years from that I'll be 40, then 10 years from that I'll be 50. ... It's why I don't sleep at night."
