Shakira Baby Born? Gerard Pique's Tweet About Son a Prank

Columbian pop and Latino singer Shakira need not start practising changing diapers yet. Her partner and Spanish soccer player Gerard Pique had Tweeted Dec, 27 announcing the birth of a new child, "Ya ha nacido nuestro hijo! Estamos muy felices! Gracias a todos por vuestros mensajes!" in Spanish translating to "Our son was born! We're very happy! Thank you all for your messages."

The internet was bursting with activity after his Twitter speak. Shakira is still pregnant and not a "mommy" yet. Pique was playing a traditional prank.

He again Tweeted Dec. 28, saying "Ya tiene nombre! Se llama Inocencio! Feliz Día de los Inocentes a todos!" that roughly meant "We have a name! He's called Inocencia! Happy Dia de los Inocentes to everyone!" when translated.

Later, Shakira's representative spoke to Entertainment Tonight and confirmed that "Yesterday was Dia de los Inocentes [Day of the Innocents], which is similar to April Fool's. She hasn't had the baby yet."

Shakira, 35, has been dating Pique since 2011, Shakira had announced she was pregnant with her first child in September.

The couple have taken to the social media posting pictures related to Shakira's pregnancy. Pique had shared the ultrasound image of the baby on Dec. 6. He also shared a photo of himself cuddling up Shakira and showing off her baby bump.

They have not yet revealed as to when the baby is due.
