Finnish death metal band Children Of Bodom are getting ready to give fans their eight album. This was revealed by Jaska Raatikainen, drummer, Children of Bodom in a Facebook update, Loudwire reported.
"Today we had the last rehearsals before entering the studio tomorrow to record drums for the new album. Last two days have been quite intensive. Playing the songs over and over again, lots of f**k ups and broken drumsticks, sweating, frustration, coffee and what have you, a little bit of arranging all that s**t," said the drummer who has been a part of the band since its formation in 1993.
"I am convinced that the new songs are great - a little bit of black metal, heavy metal, old-school death metal, melodies, solos and anything you need to make a nice album. And the most important, new ideas a la Children of Bodom!"
The band also posted a 30 sec studio video that showed the fun they have while making the music, Dec, 29.
They had earlier posted, "Good news! All the songs for the new album are ready. Feels like a Christmas present for COB! Next step after holidays is that I'm gonna start sweating my ass off in the studio."
They also added "...The new album is coming.... Slowly but surely!"
The band has produced seven studio albums that include: Something Wild (1997), Hatebreeder (1999), Follow the Reaper (2000), Hate Crew Deathroll (2003), Are You Dead Yet? (2005), Blooddrunk (2008) and Relentless Reckless Forever (2011).
Current members of the band include: Alexi Laiho (lead vocals, lead guitar), Jaska Raatikainen (drums), Henkka Seppala (bass guitar), Janne Wirman (keyboards) and Roope Latvala (rhythm guitar).
