Emmylou Harris Car Accident: Involved In A Hit and Run, Took Off After The Accident

Country music legend Emmylou Harris has done a Lindsay Lohan! Harris, 65 was reportedly involved in an accident in Los Angeles.

TMZ reported that the incident took place Oct. 1. Harris was on a rental car and she hit a car and then went off without even exchanging any sort of information. A hit and run investigation was started after a complaint was filed by the other driver. The investigation is all over now and the file is with the D.A. who will call the shots on whether the legendary singer needs to be prosecuted or not.

Though there was no injury to anyone, it was wrong on part of Harris to leave the accident area without even exchanging information, a pre-requisite in case of property damages.

Harris's representative agreed that she was indeed involved in a "minor traffic accident." He also added that "she unintentionally rubbed bumpers with another vehicle" and she did not realise that the car had hit the other one. The representative called it, "garden-variety accident that happens everyday on the 405."

The incident happened at 405 Freeway, California. Harris has asked her insurance company to look into the matter, it was reported.

Harris has won 12 Grammy awards in her lifetime.
