NFL Hall of Famer Warren Sapp Charged with Domestic Violence for Alleged Attack

Warren Sapp is in the midst of facing some harsh legal issues. The NFL Hall of Famer has been charged with 3 counts of domestic violence that stem from an alleged attack on his girlfriend, Chalyce Moore. In the incident, Moore is accusing Sapp of biting and stomping on her on April 28^th of this year.

Police say that the alleged attack started over an argument the two had. Things escalated when Sapp apparently threw a margarita in his girlfriend's face in their private cabana by the pool. After that, it's said that Sapp grabbed Chalyce by the arm or purse and then violently began pulling on her. If the reports are true, then his pulling was strong enough to nearly knock her off her feet.

During the car ride, Chalyce said she got sick of arguing and asked Sapp to get out of the car. After her request, he allegedly bit her middle finger. Sapp eventually got out of the car and was turned down for a ride by another driver. He did somehow end up back in the car though.

The couple then returned to their hotel room and the alleged attack continued. According to the allegations, Sapp threw a belt at her and she threw it right back. At some point she fell and said Sapp stepped on her face while wearing white Jordan sandals. Police say they have video of the alleged assault.

Chalyce's friends say she has multiple injuries. They include a bruise on her lower lip, abrasions and bruises on her shoulders, bruising on her legs and a bruise on one of her temples with a checkerboard imprint.

If Sapp is convicted of these charges, he can face up to 18 months in prison. He is due to return to court on July 23^rd.
