Chicago rapper Chief Keef will start his new year with attendance in court Dec. 2, after he moved into an upscale neighborhood in Northbrook, AllHipHop reported.

Keef moved to a new place without informing his probation officers. This has incurred their wrath and they want the young rapper to be jailed. He is accused of violating the terms of his parole.

Northbrook residents were alarmed at him moving to their neighborhood. They fear that they might face problems because of his ties to the Black Gangster Disciples.

Keef is on parole on weapons charge after aiming his gun at a police officer. In a separate incident, he is also accused of parole violations when he pulled up his gun at a fun range while giving an interview to Pitchfork Media, for which he has to attend court later in January, HipHopDX reported.

Keef, whose real name is Keith Cozart, moved to the new neighborhood after he released his debut album "Finally Rich" Dec. 18, 2012. He managed to release this despite his various legal wrangles and other troubles.

Keef was banned from Instagram after he uploaded a photo of him receiving oral sex, Sept. 15, 2012.

Keef is under investigation for the murder of rapper Joseph 'Lil JoJo' Coleman, Sept. 5, 2012. The Interscope Records signee had mocked the death of Coleman in Twitter, which he later claimed were hacked.
