A Los Angeles photographer was killed tragically by a passing car while attempting to shoot photos of pop sensation Justin Bieber's Ferrari, TMZ reported.

The photographer, whose name remains unknown, was chasing Bieber's Ferrari and was killed when the Ferrari was made to stop for a routine traffic stop on Sepulveda Boulevard by the California Highway Patrol, near the Getty Center in Los Angeles.

Sources have claimed that Bieber was not driving the car nor was he inside it.

The photographer attempted to take some pictures of the Ferrari when he was advised by California Highway Patrol to move back as it was unsafe, TMZ reported. He was struck by a car at some point after that. The driver of the car that killed the photographer was not under the influence of alcohol or drugs, sources told TMZ.

"While I was not present nor directly involved with this tragic accident, my thoughts and prayers are with the family of the victim," Bieber said in a statement, CNN reported.

"Hopefully this tragedy will finally inspire meaningful legislation and whatever other necessary steps to protect the lives and safety of celebrities, police officers, innocent public bystanders, and the photographers themselves."

Back in July, there was a similar instance when Bieber was being chased by a group of paparazzi. Bieber was trying to get rid of them by "making abrupt lane changes, not giving signals, cutting off cars," according to Dennis Zine, Los Angeles city councilman. Zine alerted the police and Bieber was given a ticket for speeding and the photographer was charged with reckless driving, CNN reported.

Bieber's The Actor

The "Boyfriend" singer has revealed his fans might see him on the big screen. The 18-year-old singer revealed in an interview with Billboard that he might star in a movie.

"I mean, I think that we're going to do some more touring and hopefully shoot a movie this year," he revealed, CapitalFM reported. "A lot of great plans."
