American Idol Winner Kris Allen And Pregnant Wife Injured In New Year Car Crash [Photo]

American Idol winner Kris Allen and  his pregnant wife was involved in a car crash on New Year's Day. The head-on collision did land the season eight Idol winner in the hospital with a neck brace but is recovering with a broken arm.

The singer tweeted, "Yes I got in a really bad wreck tonight and yes I'm having a lil baby. #gonnabeadaddy"  Allen added, "Thank you @ford for equipping me with a car that kept my whole family @katyallen @ZorroPup [his dog] and the little one we have on the way safe."

A photo of Allen in a neck brace was taken and tagged by his mother, Kimberly Allen saying, "From Kris: he's in a lot of pain, arm broke, may not play guitar for a while. Prayers welcome please!" Kimberly added, "Kristopher and Katy are both pretty beat up but ALIVE!" The couple's dog who was also in the car during the accident is also recovering Kimberly said, "Zorro is fine too! Very shook up, but not injured."
