One day after President Barack Obama called the Confederate flag "a reminder of systemic oppression and racial subjugation," some citizens of the town of Dalton, GA, organized a parade to celebrate the controversial flag. Though this is very strange and not funny, a viral video of this parade turned out to be our favorite Internet moment of the week. Though it starts as a scandalous celebration, we soon find ourselves witnessing a classic "fail" video when two trucks involved in the parade end up in a minor car crash. Our videographer of this viral video is clearly dumbfounded at this parade, especially since it looks like such a spur-of-the-moment event but streets are still blocked off by police. The man filming and narrating the parade is definitely not feeling the "celebration" aspect of this.
"They got a goddamn day for Confederate flags," the man is heard saying as a slew of trucks with Confederate flags drive down a closed off street. "This is some bullsh*t!"
Just when you thought this was just a form of viral video evidence of this small "Parade" for the controversial flag, it becomes something much bigger: a fail video. Why these drivers were exceeding a faster-than-parade speed is beyond us, but boy did it come to bite them in the ... bumper.
The accident was minor and reportedly nobody was hurt, so it might be safe to laugh at this video. What isn't safe is to listen to the audio without headphones at work due to some language problems. Also, the comments on the YouTube page are pretty vulgar, so be careful clicking through below.
