Teen Mom 2 star Kailyn Lowry has had to relive the nasty fights she and husband Javi Marroquin went through while filming for the upcoming sixth season of their hit MTV reality show. Now, Kail is talking about what made the couple want to divorce after being together for almost three years.
"We obviously were not being the most mature when we were throwing around the word 'divorce,' and I feel like at the time we were just trying to hurt each other, more than we were actually considering divorce," the mother of two told Wetpaint Entertainment. "We did consider it, but at the end of the day, we worked out all of our problems. Most of the stuff were things that we really could have communicated better on, and it probably wouldn't have gotten to where it was."
Luckily for them, they have gotten over their most serious issues and are now better than ever.
"I think all couples and everybody in a marriage argues sometimes," Kailyn said. "I think where we're at right now is pretty normal and we just handle it."
However, the Love & Lowry designer and Javi tried to get help from outside sources, but ultimately decided it wasn't for them.
"We went to counseling for a while, but we decided it wasn't for us. It wasn't working," she told the gossip site.
As MStars News reported, Kail recently watched the first two episodes of the new season and sent her husband a text about how emotional it was. He posted the conversation on Instagram with a sweet message to his love.
"You guys are really gonna see a different side of us this season that I'm not looking forward to," little Lincoln's dad captioned the photo. "There was a point in our marriage that was extremely difficult. Makes me emotional to think about how we were. I'm not gonna give too much away, but just want yall to know it's worth it to keep fighting. Seriously. Ps it's behind us babe. We made it."
Do you think the worst is behind the Teen Mom 2 stars?
