Bobbi Kristina's best friend, Alex Reid opens up about the coma-stricken reality star's abusive relationship with boyfriend, Nick Gordon in an exclusive interview with E! News. With news of Whitney's Houston's only child facing death at a Hospice and now news of her allegedly facing abuse at the hands of her lover is making headlines.
Alex found it hard to open up to the E! News cameras stating, "I love her. I would never have betrayed her and spoken out before now," she added, "But as she lies there, I feel there is no one else to speak on her behalf. I feel like I have to be a voice for her now."
Alex said that she was informed on the troubled relationship and physical altercation soon after she met her during Grammys week two years ago, "Pretty soon after we met she started telling me about the times he had been abusive and it just kept really escalating and kept getting worse and worse."
She revealed what exactly Nick did to his girlfriend, "I can think of 4 really extreme instances. She'll call me and if I didn't answer it would be like 'Alex, I need you.' Like, 'Alex, please call me right now.' Of course I would call and that when she would be crying and I wouldn't understand the words coming out of the mouth, she would just hyperventilate." She added, "He was known to choke her. Throw her into walls, punch her in the jaw."
During an interview with Extra, Nick's brother, Dee Gordon alleged that the incident that has left Bobbi in a coma may have been a suicide attempt due to their toxic relationship.
"I just feel like she...she just was fed up with everything that's going on in her life," he told Extra Friday. "I mean, I knew how depressed Kris was, I knew drug use. I mean, all that mixed together with arguments is never, never good."
"It was going on when Whitney was alive. I would be on the phone with Nick and I could hear Whitney asking for the stuff. It was there before Whitney died," he alleged that Whitney allowed Bobbi's drug use in her home.
