4 Dead In Aurora Townhouse Hostage Shooting, 3 Killed In Murder Suicide

Four people are dead in an Aurora,Colorado in an apparent murder/suicde in a townhouse. Police had a standoff with the gunmen and tear gassed him to surrender, however, the suspect was found long with three other people dead.

According to Sergeant Cassidee Carlson of the Aurora Police, there are three victims along with the gunman who are all suspected to be apart of the same family.  Carlson reported, "We've evacuated several residences in the neighboring town homes and in the immediate area where we believed would be the most dangerous."

Around 3 a.m. there were reports of gunshots and 3 victims shot and killed at the home Saturday morning from one other resident who managed to flee the scene. When police arrived at the scene, they tried to negotiate with the gunman who barricaded himself inside the home. Police describe the gunman as "irrational and agitated." according to ABC News.

Around 8 a.m. gunfire was exchanged after the gunman opened fire on an armored Swat car. Authorities decided to throw tear gas into the home to force the gunman to surrender, however, when police entered the home, the suspect was found dead. Authorities are unsure whether he was killed during the gunfire exchange or had taken his own life.
