The unsolved mystery of who is the man in Princess Diana's 1980's photo has been revealed. The young man reading a book laying closely to the late princess is Adam Russell.
Royal reporter and Diana's biographer, Andre Morton explained who the handsome man wearing the "Ski Bob" shirt in the photo was to Diana before it went for auction. As Morton wrote the "Diana, Her True Story," the author was aware the photo existed and was responsible of finding who the secret man was to the late princess and was, "given the task of trying to identify the boy in the picture."
According to the U.K.'s Guardian, Morton revealed, "The young man was Adam Russell, the great-grandson of former prime minister Stanley Baldwin, and now a deer farmer in Dorset."
Apparently, Diana and Russell were both "injured during the skiing holiday ... They kept each other company while the others went skiing and, at the end of the holiday, Adam was somewhat smitten. But absolutely nothing happened."
Eventually, the two kept in touch until she met Prince Charles and the couple wed. As far as why and who wrote "NOT TO BE PUBLISHED" on the photo remains a mystery which Morton may still be trying to solve.
