Bethenny Frankel, Jason Hoppy Divorce: RHONY Fight For Financial Empire And Custody Of Daughter

Is no secret that Bethenny Frankel and Jason Hoppy are heading for splitsville. The "Real Housewives of New York" star was not with her and her daughter Bryn over the holidays in Aspen Colorado in order to move out of their New York pad while her husband moved out. Although, the split is said not to be messy, the reality star is worried about her $100 million empire.

 Recently, Frankel released a statement saying, "It brings me great sadness to say that Jason and I are separating. This was an extremely difficult decision that as a woman and a mother, I have to accept as the best choice for our family."  With concerns about her daughter's well-being throughout this ordeal, Frankel is also worrying about her money.

 According to RadarOnline sources, "Bethenny's biggest concern is the financial hit her empire could take because of the fallout from her divorce," the source added, "Bethenny had hoped that the divorce would be amicable, but Jason isn't going to just stand by and let her have primary custody of their daughter, Bryn. The couple did have an iron-clad prenup, and Jason could make a bid to have it thrown out. Bethenny's talk show is scheduled to premiere this fall, but producers of the show are carefully watching how the divorce plays out."

Although, releasing the statement about the split, Frankel remains quiet in the press for image control as her talk show is set to air soon and as she fights for primary custody of Bryn, "Bethenny is beyond obsessed with money, sadly. Bethenny has worked tirelessly to control how she is portrayed in the press, and she is watching it now all start to unravel with divorce, and it has her freaked out," the source says.

Even though the skinny girl heiress has a good amount of money in the bank, she is seeking child support from her husband, "Jason will file his response and will most likely seek joint custody of Bryn. Jason is also floored that Bethenny is asking for child support from him since she is worth at least $50 million. This divorce isn't going to be amicable, by any means." 

Previously, Frankel had been "meeting with lawyers and just figuring out the next steps" in order to protect her $100 million fortune. Aside from reality television, Frankel created the "Skinny Girl" cocktail brand which sold for $100 million and wants to protect her money and other entrepreneurial brands, "exit plan in mind for months," a source said.
