After scaring the minds of viewers with The Walking Dead, creator Robert Kirkman has released photos from his latest Cinemax horror/exorcism, Outcast. Following the 2015 San Diego Comic-Con Poster reveal, check out Patrick Fugit and Philip Glenister in character from the first set of photos.
As we previously mentioned, from Skybound, an imprint of Image Comics, the new horror series follows Kyle Barnes (Fugit), who has had been plagued by demonic possession all his life. Desperate for answers, Kyle's investigation will unexpectedly cause the end of the world.
Philip Glenister (Life On Mars) landed the role of Reverend Anderson, a hard drinking and gambling West Virginian evangelical preacher. Child actor Gabriel Bateman has been cast as 8-year-old Joshua Austin. Wrenn Schmidt is Megan Holter, Kyle's adopted sister and a child psychologist. Horror filmmaker Adam Wingard, known for his flicks, The Guest, and You're Next, has signed on to direct the pilot.
According to Comic Book Resources, the first photo features Fugit (this critic suspects it's him) standing outside a very creepy-looking house. The second image features both Fugit and Glenister looking at something frightening. If you look at Glenister's hand closely, he is holding something suspicious and blinking red.
We also mentioned, the Outcast panel will take place on Saturday, July 11th at 3:00pm in Room 6DE. Among those at the panel will be creators and executive producers Robert Kirkman and Chris Black. Cast members include Fugit (Barnes), Glenister (Anderson) and Schmidt (Megan Holter), and two surprise special guest panelists.
Convention-goers will be able to pick up an Outcast issue at the Skybound booth (#2729). The Comic Con cover features Fugit recreating the image of Kyle seen on the first issue. The SDCC Outcast poster tagline states: "Possession is just the beginning."
Kumail Nanjiani (Silicon Valley's Dinesh Chugtai) will moderate the panel. After the panel, don't miss the Autograph signing at 5:45 pm, which will be held at the Warner Bros. booth.
