This week, market researchers Ipsos, with help from Google, released a brand new most watched move trailers list of available videos on YouTube. Fans of the film industry would probably guess the leader of this list: Star Wars: The Force Awakens. It comes as no surprise that the second teaser trailer of the highly anticipated 2015 Disney film came out on top, but let's take a look at the other movie trailer that made the top five list below!

This data is for YouTube trailers on the website between April 1 and June 30, 2015. Here is the list of the top movie trailers currently on YouTube (via Think With Google):
Star Wars: The Force Awakens Official Teaser #2, 67.8M views
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice - Official Teaser Trailer [HD], 57M views
Jurassic World - Official Global Trailer (HD), 27M views
Terminator: Genisys Official Trailer #2 (2015) - Arnold Schwarzenegger Movie HD, 19.7M views
Marvel's Ant-Man - Trailer 1, 17M views
Besides this list of movie trailers topping YouTube, this research also found out a number of other facts about the video website. According to this research, over 35 million hours of movie trailers have been viewed on mobile in 2015. Plus, we've learned that 81% of people that viewed trailers in 2015 did so on YouTube and that was part of an 88% increase in movie trailer views!
This is certainly a lot of numbers and information to take in, but we can basically sum it up by saying that YouTube is still on the rise in many ways. It is responsible for hosting the majority of these movie trailers, which you can watch online thanks to them. Otherwise, you'd have to see a trailer in theaters.
