The TBS late night show, Conan, has a number of guests and promos for San Diego Comic Con 2015. Talk show host Conan O'Brien joins co-host Andy Richter as they search for the next X-Men anti-hero, Wolverine, within a number of candidates, including Betty White and Larry King.
As we previously mentioned, the former Tonight Show host announced that his own TBS late night show will air original episodes on Friday and Saturday nights, during the first full week of July. This will officially make Conan the first late night show ever to broadcast from San Diego during Comic-Con. O'Brien and his crew will tape the show from San Diego's historic Spreckels Theater.
The red-haired comedian stated in his announcement, "All of our comedy and all of our guests are going to relate to the magic of Comic-Con and here's the important thing to know. To better coincide with all the events of Comic-Con, we'll change our schedule a bit that week. We'll air our shows Wednesday through Saturday, July 8th through July 11.We've never done anything like that before! It's pretty cool!"
According to Rolling Stone, a promo was released to highlight the Comic Con tapings. In an homage to recent action blockbuster, Mad Max: Fury Road, Andy Richter is dressed up as Immortan Joe. Jimmy Vivino and the Basic Cable Band are pounding a set of drums as the War Boys. O'Brien himself is playing the guitar that spits fire.
Slashfilm reports another promo was released. This time around, the talk show host rhas an audition reel featuring Nick Offerman (Parks and Recreation), Michael Sheen (Masters of Sex,) Patton Oswalt (Justified) as possible replacements for Hugh Jackman as Wolverine.
Conan's Comic-Con episodes are slated to air on TBS Wednesday, July 8 through Saturday, July 11.
