Comedians Aziz Ansari and Amy Schumer will headline the Oddball Comedy and Curiosity Festival Tour, presented by Funny or Die, starting August 28. The tour heads to eighteen different cities and includes other popular comedic names like Anthony Jeselnik, Ashley Barnhill, Bridget Everett, Dave Attell, Big Jay Oakerson, Jay Pharoah, Jeff Ross, Jim Norton, John Mulaney, Michael Che, Nick Kroll, Nick Thune, Nikki Glaser, Rachel Feinstein, Rory Scovel, Sebastian Maniscalco, Tim Minchin, T.J. Miller, Todd Barry and more.
This will be the third consecutive year for the tour and it has become a much loved summer tradition for comedy fans across the country. Schumer and Ansari have had very good runs with previous tours and have developed a devoted following from their fans.
Schumer is receiving a lot of attention not only for her touring comedy, but also for: her upcoming Judd Apatow film, Trainwreck, that she both wrote and stars in; the third season of her Comedy Central TV series, Inside Amy Schumer, winning the Peabody Award for the Emmy nominated show; and earning a Critics Choice TV Award for "Best Actress in a Comedy Series."
As for Ansari, his comedy tour was sold out in the last two shows he did at Madison Square Garden in New York and his most recent show, Live From Madison Square Garden, which was aired as a special on Netflix. There is also some buzz about his newly released book, Modern Romance, which is number two on the New York Times Best Seller list.
Ansari continues to not only dazzle us with his talent as a comedian, but coming soon to Netflix is an original TV show that he created, wrote, directed and stars in so keep your eyes peeled for that to be announced later this year!
