Forget what you heard about the feud between Giuliana Rancic and Maria Menounos, because according to the former E! News host there has never been a feud between the two. We previously reported that Rancic announced her plans last week to leave the news series after 14 years with the program and that Menounos would be the one replacing her, which quickly drew up reports of some tension between the two. However, today Rancic is revealing that having Maria take over for her was always part of the plan.
According to Radar Online, Giuliana decided to set the record straight about leaving the series, and also addressed those rumors on whether she was fired or quit the series on her own terms.

"It was 100 percent my decision to leave," the star explained in an interview with People. "I brought up the idea to leave three years ago, but E! News kept extending me because they wanted me to stay."
She also told the site that it wasn't because of bad blood between her and the network, as she will still be starring on Fashion Police and Live From the Red Carpet, but just because she wanted to grow professionally.
"I took on a challenge 14 years ago. I was a young reporter, and E! News was my dream job. It's an incredible journey. But after 14 years, I have nothing else to accomplish on the show," Rancic explained. "I want to grow as a person, as a businesswoman, as a host, and in order for me to grow. I need to take on a new venture and new challenge."
