The ladies of Basketball Wives: LA are nothing but drama, and rookie Mehgan James is definitely one that is already stirring the pot. In the premiere epsiode of the show this week, viewers got a glimpse of the new girl but not the drama she would later bring against her costar, Draya Michele.
In the clip below, James told Hip Hollywood that Draya and Orlando Scandrick's on-again, off-again relationship is a "publicity stunt."
She explained why she had those beliefs. "I think it's all fake. They're still together. She's still living in his house, still driving his car," James said. "It's a publicity stunt." She added, "The breakup, the makeup, the re-breakup, the makeup before that and the breakup before that, it's fake."
When the reporter asked if she believed that Draya and Orlando would walk down the aisle, she said, "I don't think you can turn a hoe into a housewife."
Wow!
As James was revealing how she felt about Draya Michele, her pal Jackie Christie kept her mouth shut most of the time, but chimed in wishing Draya the best in whatever happens. "I just wish the best for them. I really don't deal with that situation, I don't really know... when I heard about it I was on a flight from doing the Love & Hip Hop thing and I was like, 'oh wow that's too bad.' Of course I went and Googled it to see and couldn't believe it so I don't know what's going on," she said.
Mehgan added, "Exactly. You couldn't believe it because it's probably not real."
Jackie, who is still married to her husband, former NBA player, Doug Christie, believes that some counseling by her would help Draya and Orlando. "I would love to - if they'd be willing to sit down and listen - I would love to counsel them because they need help," she said.
MStars News wonders if Draya and Orlando would take her up on her offer?
So why does Mehgan dislike Draya so much? MStars News guesses everyone will have to wait and see later on in the new season of Basketball Wives: LA, which airs on Sunday nights on VH1.
