Comedian Eugene Mirman, known as the voice of Gene Belcher on Bob's Burgers, recently made headlines in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, when he received a $15 parking ticket. The stand-up reportedly received a ticket for backing into a parking spot. With that, he decided to take out a full-page newspaper ad to protest the ticket.
According to reports from Mashable, Mirman was in town with his girlfriend walking around. When the duo returned to the car, he noticed the ticket for being "parked in the wrong direction."
Instead of paying the fine and moving on, Mirman decided to take a stand against the "horse$&it" that was the ticket, as he puts it.
"Before I embarrass myself," Mirman said in the ad, "I want to make sure that Portsmouth is still inside the United States and not considered a part of Iran?"
Here's a photo of Mirman's illegal parking job:

Mirman's letter continues onward to joke about the ridiculousness of his $15 fine, and he signs it:
"With Great Disappointment In You, Eugene Mirman"

Of course, despite the ad, it looks like Mirman might have paid the fine:
