At Wrestlemania, the WWE had big plans to revive the Intercontinental Championship by having the belt hung high above the ring in a ladder match. Daniel Bryan eventually ended up winning and it seemed as if the championship would return to the prestigious level it was once at. Then Bryan became injured and his title was defended in an Elimination Chamber match. Ryback won and he hoped to do what Bryan couldn't but not even two months later, Ryback is now injured as well so it's up in the air what will happen to the title. One thing is for sure -- he won't be defending it at the Battleground on the WWE Network due to a staph infection.
The big announcement was made on WWE.com this week after the Ryback sent out a series of tweets:

WWE said Ryback is expected to make a full recovery in the coming weeks. The exact timetable of his return is just unknown at the moment. The good news is that the Big Guy won't have to relinquish his new championship.
For now, the WWE has not announced what will happen between his Battleground opponents, the Big Show and Miz. Both superstars were set to face the Ryback for the IC title.
What do you think the WWE should do with Miz and Big Show now that the Ryback out of action for a few weeks?
