Complications continues on USA Network with an all-new episode. In tonight's Episode 6, are Doctor John Ellison (Jason O'Mara) and his nurse Gretchen Polk (Jessica Szohr), alongside gangster Darius Bishop (Chris Chalk), in danger of getting caught by police?
In our previous recap, Dr. John Ellison (Mara) is a suburban doctor who used to be at the top of his game in the emergency room. Outside of work, Ellison is dealing with the emotional downfall of his daughter's death. With the loss of his daughter, Ellison suddenly finds redemption after he saves a young boy's life from a drive-by shooting. Gretchen (Szohr), a street-smart ER nurse, is caught in the middle when Ellison becomes involved in a gang war led by Darius Bishop (Chalk).
In our recent recap, John needed to protect Darius after he was shot by a rival gang. The two opponents found themselves siding with each other, even while Detective Holden (Brent Sexton) came after them, With the help of Gretchen, John was able to stitch up Darius' wound and get him back on the streets, to prevent more killings. Unfortunately, Holden is beginning to suspect John and sets his eyes on him.
In an interview with TV Line, the Life on Mars actor reveals someone is coming after John and Gretchen, "he leader of the Gang Task Force is going to start sniffing around, and that's not good for John and Gretchen - because they never chose to go to the police in the first place, because they felt it would ultimately be dangerous to the family, because the police are 'just a security detail.'
Mara adds, "Now there's a situation where they're going to have to start lying to the police and everyone around them, so it's literally John and Gretchen versus the world while trying to keep their loved ones safe. I must say, the intensity of the story really starts to pick up in this episode and the one after it - and it's a breathless finish all the way to the end."
Complications continues on USA Network Thursdays at 9pm.
