Sometimes the technology just isn't there when it comes to creating an immersive movie experience, but it doesn't stop filmmakers from using very bad CGI anyway. We all love to point out the terrible effects in movies, so that's why we're excited to share a new viral video supercut of the worst digital effects used in movies over the last few decades. Some of these clips are pretty short, thus making it hard to actually spot the bad CGI work, while other footage lasts an uncomfortable amount of time. We understand that technology has advanced quite a lot since some of these examples, so don't be too hard on the clips below!
This compilation features some great examples of incredibly bad CGI from movies like Deep Blue Sea, Air Force One, Let the Right One in, Van Helsing, The Mist, The Mummy Returns, and many more. To be fair, some of the films in this compilation were terrible on purpose, like Birdemic. Either way, though, this is one amazing supercut of the worst CGI in movies that we have seen.
