Heath Ledger's Daughter, Matilda 'Very Much Like Her Dad': 'Dark Knight' Actor's Family Are Close With Granddaughter [Photo]

Heath Ledger's daughter remains very close to her to her late father's side of the family. The Dark Knight actor's mother, Sally Ledger, said Heath's daughter Matilda is 'very much like her dad', according to Australia New Idea magazine.

The proud mother who accepted the Academy Award with Heath's father Kim and sister Kate admitted that "Matilda is indeed very much like her dad - she has long limbs and similar features," she also added, "However, she also possesses the beauty of her mamma - lucky girl."

After Heath's accidental overdose in 2008, the promising actor died at the age of 28 leaving behind his daughter Matilda 7, with former girlfriend Michelle Williams. Heath's family continues to have a strong relationship with Matilda and continue to keep a strong bond, "Our family has the most wonderful relationship with both Matilda and Michelle.  We talk frequently and visit as often as we can."

The young girl who is a little more than half the height of her mother has a striking look like her father, and according to the Ledger family, Matilda has many other similar attributes as her father, "Matilda has the same walk as Heath and is such a respectful little kid - she calls us Papa and Grandma Sal," Kim said.

As the Ledger family remain in their native country of Australia while their granddaughter lives in America with her mother. The acting couple Williams and Ledger met while filming Brokeback Mountain in 2004 and finally decided to call off the relationship in September 2007, four months before his death.
