Paper Towns star Cara Delevingne is defending her sexuality and relationship with musician St. Vincent. The model-turned-actress landed the cover of Vogue magazine, but inside the pages it hinted that her attraction to girls is "just a phase." But Delevingne, who is also appearing in Suicide Squad, says her bisexuality is not a temporary part of growing up.

"My sexuality is not a phase," Delevingne said. "I am who I am."

After the Vogue cover story was published, advocates protested the way the magazine depicted her bisexuality. Over 21,000 people have signed a petition calling for Vogue to apologize to the LGBT community.

"People are quick to assume queer women's identities are a 'phase' and to refuse to recognize the important relationships in their lives," the petition, written by Julie Rodriguez, says, "an attitude which can cause depression, result in families rejecting their daughters (or forcing them into abusive conversion 'therapy'), and even put young women at risk of suicide."

Delevingne says she felt "nothing malicious" about the Vogue article, but stood firm that her sexuality — and her relationship — is very real.

Delevingne is hitting the big screens with Paper Towns, based on a novel of the same name by teen sensation John Green, who also wrote The Fault In Our Stars, which was turned into a hit film starring Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort. The film also stars Nat Wolff as Quentin, a teen in love with Delevingne's character, Margo.

Paper Towns is about Quentin's crush on Margo, his neighbor. After spending a night getting prank-filled revenge on people who have wronged Margo, Quentin finds that Margo has disappeared. She leaves behind a series of clues that Quentin follows to try and find her.

Aside from being a supermodel and up-and-coming actress, Delevingne revealed yet another exceptional — and quite unexpected — skill. While on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Delevingne put on an awesome beatboxing show, showcasing her unusual talent.
