The Season 10 finale of Bones aired on Fox. With Season 11 of Bones in the planning stages, as Temperance Brennan (Emily Deschanel) and Seeley Booth (David Boreanaz) reconcile; will they end up meeting with Ichabod Crane (Tom Mison) and Abbie Mills (Nicole Beharie) in Sleepy Hollow?
As we previously mentioned, the eleventh season will pick up six months after the Season 10 finale. In the time-jump, Brennan and Booth have moved on to a new town and new jobs. Though they have given up their old life and settled into a blissful death-free existence, a murder unlike any other draws them back. They reunite with their former colleagues at the Jeffersonian and FBI to solve the case.
We also mentioned, the premiere date has been set in stone. Bones will return to its regular Thursday time slot. Booth and Brennan will also have to deal with the Headless Horseman following after them. Viewers should expect the Bones/Sleepy Hollow combo platter when both shows launch on the late side of Oct. 1.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Fox is planning to make crossover episodes between Sleepy Hollow and Bones. The crossover will take place across two episodes, one on each show.
Story details, including which characters from each series will appear in the episodes, have not yet been disclosed. Though details are tightly wrapped, we can only imagine what would if would be like to see Brennan working with Mills and Booth being weirded out by Ichabod Crane.
Boreanaz is no stranger to crossovers, especially as Angel. The vampire with a soul was the leading man in his own series, Angel, and guest-starred as the same character on Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Each crossover event was a ratings hit during their time.
We also reported, Twilight actress Nikki Reed has joined the Sleepy Hollow cast as Betsy Ross, a secret agent in George Washington's mysterious ring of spies.
Bones will return for Season 11 on Fox in October.
