Because nostalgia goes a long way with audiences, Fox is planning the revival of their popular crime drama, Prison Break. Will Wentworth Miller, Dominic Purcell, and Sarah Wayne Callies return as Michael Scofield, Lincoln Burrows, and Sara Tancredi in the limited 12 episode run?
As we previously mentioned, Fox is currently developing a limited-series revival of its drama series. Miller and Purcell reprise once more as their sibling characters. Described as a "the perfect event series" by Fox co-chairman Gary Newman at the Television Critics Assoc. press tour, this will be a closed-ended storyline. Details were sketchy because Michael passed away in the series finale. Robert Knepper also reprised his role as T-Bag in an episode of Breakout Kings.
According to TV Line, Miller admits in an interview, "Conversations are happening," and adds "assuming Michael is still alive."
Purcell mentions Sara because her character was thought dead in Season 3 but was actually alive in Season 4,"I mean, Sara was dead. The [concept] that I've heard is completely brilliant, so people will be fine."
Currently working on The Colony for USA Network, Callies will reprise her role when former Prison Break executive producer, Dawn Parouse Olmstead, gives her the okay, "If there's anybody who has incentive to let me sneak off of set for a little bit and cross over to another lot. it would be Dawn."
We have 5 reasons why we were so excited to see the Prison Break Reunion on The Flash:
As we previously mentioned, Purcell and Miller are currently part of The Rogues super villain team in The Flash. As Captain Cold (Miller) and Heat Wave (Purcell). The two are rumored to return in The Flash season two and appear in Arrow season four. They will also be part of the DC Comics team of heroes and villains in Legends of Tomorrow.
The Prison Break revival is currently in development.
Readers, would you like to see another season of Prison Break?
