Demi Moore claims that she was in "absolute shock," when she learned that a man was found dead in her pool while she was out of town visiting her kids.
According to Fox News, Moore released a statement that through her publicist, Heidi Lopata that read:
"I was out of the country traveling to meet my daughters for a birthday celebration when I got the devastating news," Moore said, explaining that the drowning happen during a party her assistant was hosting while she was out of town. The incident was "unthinkable tragedy, and my heart goes out to this young man's family and friends."
Demi Moore, 52 still may be responsible for the accident according to L.A.-based attorney Leo Terrell. Terrell claims that Moore could face a "lawsuit for negligent supervision."
"As the homeowner, she will be accused of failing to provide proper pool supervision," Terrell explained. "The lawsuit will attack Demi's failure to insure the safety of the guests from the danger of the pool."
Los Angeles County coroner Lt. Fred Corral revealed that the man found dead was identified as Edenilson Steven Valle. Valle was only 21-years-old.
Valle was pulled out of the pool after he was found floating in the deep end after apparently being in the water for about 10-15 minutes. The 21-year-old, who allegedly could not swim, was pronounced dead at approximately 5:30 a.m. local time Sunday.
TMZ revealed that Valle apparently slipped and fell into the pool. No foul play seemed to be involved, but a "limited amount" of alcohol was served.
