Kim Kardashian Takes to Twitter and Weighs in on Sandra Bland’s Death

One of the bigger controversies right now regarding racial issues in the United States is that of 28-year-old Sandra Bland found hanging in a Texas jail cell after a traffic stop three days earlier. Her death was ruled a suicide but people want to know more about what happened before they accept this answer. This started mass Twitter activism and hashtags such as #JusticeForSandraBland and #WhatHappenedToSandraBland arose from it. People want to know how this could have happened and one of those people is reality television sensation Kim Kardashian. Kardashian took to Twitter to ask what happened to Bland in that Texas jail cell?

Bland died in a jail cell back on July 13. While her death was ruled a suicide, the FBI is currently launching an investigation into what happened. A video from the jail that includes her cell was released shortly before after the news hit and Bland is seen not moving for about 90 minutes before nurses and police rush in.

The Waller County District Attorney Elton Mathis held a press conference on Monday and said the investigation is currently ongoing. According to him, it's sill being looked into as a murder investigation.

"This investigation is still being treated just as it would be in a murder investigation," Mathis said. "There are many questions being raised in Waller County, across the country and the world about this case."
