Dave Grohl, ex-Nirvana member and frontman for Foo Fighters realised his dream as he performed with his supergroup to the audience at Sundance Film Festival's Park City Live, Jan. 19.
Grohl received a huge cheer from the crowd as he came in and told that it will be a long night. The 44-year-old guitarist and drummer performed with group of seventeen artistes with the likes of Rage Against the Machine's Brad Wilk, Queens of the Stone Age's Alain Johannes, Nirvana's Krist Novoselic, Masters of Reality's Chris Goss, Lee Ving, Cheap Trick's Rick Nielsen, Slip Knot's Corey Taylor, Rick Springfield, John Fogerty and Stevie Nicks, Rolling Stone reported.
The performance lasted for more than three hours where Springfield performing "I've done everything for you," "Jessie's Girl" and his new song with Grohl, "The Man That Never Was."
Former Creedence Clearwater Revival's John Fogerty rocked with his "Born on the Bayou," "Bad Moon Rising," "Proud Mary" and "Fortunate Son" numbers.
Nicks wooed the crowd with "You Can't Fix This," a song written with Grohl and "snow covered hills."
Grohl premiered his documentary on the legendary recording studio in L.A. "Sound City" Jan. 18.
"I consider this to be the most important thing I've ever done, artistically, of all the albums I've made, of all the bands I've had the pleasure of being in. I really feel like the Sound City movie, its intention is to inspire the next generation of kids to fall in love with music as much as I did," said Grohl who directed his first debut movie, "Sound City."
"When you start talking about leveling the playing field, and how digital technology has made everyone a photographer, or a movie editor, or a musician, it's kind of the same - I mean, I made a movie. It's shocking really... I started the Foo Fighters as a hobby, and that was 20 years ago," said Grohl when asked if he will be making any more movies.
