R&B Singer Anthony Hamilton and Wife Tarshá Divorce After 10 Years of Marriage

No one probably saw this one coming! MStars News has learned that Anthony Hamilton and his wife of 10 years, Tarshá Hamilton, have called it quits on their marriage.

According to Essence, the R&B crooner and his wife announced their split in a joint statement: "Tarshá and Anthony's greatest priorities are loving and raising their three children and they are committed to co-parenting together." The couple's statement continued, "Both will continue to work in tandem on various music projects including Tarshá's upcoming debut Sounds Like Tarshá which will be released on Pennie Bank Productions." Following the announcement, Anthony wrote a cryptic status to his Facebook page.

Hamilton wrote, "If it doesn't challenge you, it won't change you."

When asked for a comment by Essence, the singer said: "This was a difficult decision that she and I made together. We'll continue to be great friends and even better parents to our three sons. Thanks for respecting our family's privacy during this time. This will be our only comment on this private family matter."

According to Madame Noire, Tarshá is also a singer, and will continue her works as an HIV/AIDS healthcare advocate, following her split from Anthony.

The Charlotte natives met over twelve years ago when Tarshá auditioned to sing background vocals for Anthony. He popped the question two years later.

As the former lovebirds make decisions on their children's future, Anthony spends time with one of his sons.

"A blessing to be a Father," he wrote in the photo below. "To teach to guide to follow. I urge all men to take the time to feel Loved and give love. God is amazing!"

The now ex-couple welcomed twin boys back in 2010, and gave birth to another son, Princeton Harris Hamilton in 2012. Anthony is also the father of three other children, Anthony, Romeiro and Tristen.
