The three day music and art festival at Coachella Valley desert, in Indio, CA will have a big line-up for the event. Though an official 2013 line-up is yet to be made, based on reports here are some of the bands that might show up and some who might not:
The Spin reports that electronic musical group, The Postal Service will be performing as they will be uniting for the gig.
The other confirmed name in the line-up is Bat For Lashes whose real name is Natasha Khan.
The other possibility is the alternative rock band, Phoenix, who will be in U.S. to perform at New Orleans Jazz Fest.
The other confirmed artists include: Father John Mistry, singer-songwriter Alex Clare, Israeli rocktronica duo Infected Mushroom, dubstep DJ Kill the Noise, German EDM star Paul Kalkbrenner the Dirtybird Players Club tour collective, folk lifer Sixto Rodriguez, the Underachievers and Vintage Trouble.
The bands that are unlikely to turn up for the event include:
The Rolling Stones, which was headlining will not be performing. This was confirmed by frontman for the band, Mike Jagger himself, who said to NME, "We're not gonna do Coachella, 'cos it's too early. There was a rumor we were gonna do that one, but it's very early, Coachella. It's April or something, isn't it? And we're not gonna be ready to go by April."
British alternative rock band, The Smiths, will not reunite and hence will not be playing at Coachella 2013. French electronic music duo Daft Punk will also not be a part of the line-up. American indie rock band, Yeah Yeah Yeahs too is not likely to be in the festival.
