USA's 'Complications' Recap: Episode 8: Jason O'Mara, Jessica Szohr, Chris Chalk's "Relapse!"

With 3 episodes left of the first season, Complications continues on USA Network. From Burn Notice creator Matt Nix, in episode 8, what will John Ellison (Jason O'Mara), Gretchen Polk (Jessica Szohr), and Darius Bishop (Chris Chalk) discover about  themselves in their Relapse?

While a gang member promises revenge, Dr. Laster (Constance Zimmer) is getting annoyed with Ellison. John remembers getting into fights, watching Darius getting violent. He gets mad when his therapist mentions compulsory disorders, how he is acting out. Just when Dr. laster mentions he needs help, he walks out on her. 

After an angry phone call, Gretchen deals with her friend, who is jumping bail. Unfortunately, her friend passes out taking medication mixed with alcohol. John returns to the hospital, thinking about what Dr. Laster said. Unable to concentrate at work, John misses a call from Gretchen.

With her friend overdosing in the car, Gretchen finally gets in contact with John. After treating him in the garage, Gretchen's friend finally wakes up. Gretchen gets in John's face, arguing things have gone too far. John gets mad when she thinks he's cracking up.

John celebrates with his wife, Samantha (Beth Riesgraf) after she wins a case. Unfortunately, John's mind is flooded with more memories of violent acts. John excuses himself, grabs his other cell, and asks to setup a meeting with darius. Samantha is worried about her husband, knowing something is up. 

Samantha then makes a call to Detective Holden and asks to speak about her husband. Gretchen checks up on her friend and feeds him his pills. Holden tells Samantha about John's drug problem, which she doesn't believe. John tells Darius about the next gang hit, which will be a memorial for CJ.

Darius and John argue, which puts Antwon's life in danger. After being handed a gun, John points the barrel at Darius' chest but doesn't pull the trigger.  After Samantha agues with Holden, Gretchen stops John before he leaves the hospital.John refuses to see more people die as samatha doesn't want her husband to become a snitch. 

While John is captured by a gang member, Samantha is unable to find him in the hospital. While Gretchen is on the lookout for him, she spots him being beaten up. After taking a major beating, Gretchen breaks into John's car and steal his gun. 

John manages to get back in the fight when Gretchen causes a distraction. After stitching himself up, John goes back to the hospital and sees Samantha. Hesitating at first, John then tells her about Antwon.
