The sci-fi drama, Humans, continues with an all-new episode on AMC. In Episode 6, viewers will discover the connection between Dr. George Millican (William Hurt), Leo (Colin Morgan) and synth Anita (Gemma Chan) as Max (Ivanno Jeremiah)'s rescue leads them closer together towards a deadly conspiracy.
Fred (Sope Dirisu) finally wakes up and finds Hobbs (Danny Webb) waiting for him. Hobbs knows Fred has something in his head, something that Leo wants, and needs all the Synths together to unlock it. Though Hobbs has his own manipulations, could he be manipulating Fred at the same time?
With Joe (Tom Goodman-Hill) missing from the kitchen table, Laura (Katherine Parkinson) and the rest of her family are dealing with Anita's absence as well. Mattie (Lucy Carless) argues with her mother as she wants to know the truth. Joe meets with his son as he reveals his feelings for Anita.
Elsewhere, Leo's vision is blurry as he struggles to march across. Because he had a stroke and lost his wife, George isn't afraid of Niska (Emily Berrington) as she threatens him with a kitchen knife. As they debate about the worth of a single life, the two are shocked to see Odi (Will Tudor) standing at the doorway.
While Laura's son wrestles with his feelings towards Anita, Fred questions whether Hobbs is keeping him prisoner. Fred fights his way through Hobbs' goons and grabs one of their guns. Showing mercy, Fred tases Hobbs in the leg and shoots his way out.
As Niska helps put Odi back together, Anita helps Laura try to find her missing daughter. After discovering Niska is a 9-year old child, George promises he will do everything he can to help her. Laura then reveals to Mattie about Tom, her dead brother, and why she has never met her grandmother.
While mother and daughter mend their broken relationship, Anita is starting to show emotion and suddenly gasps for air. Anita reveals her name is "Mia" and she needs to find Leo. Mia reveals she also had a son before Anita regains consciousness.
The search for Leo continues between Mattie and Max, who slowly begin to understand each other. Mattie then finds Leo lying unconscious, close to death. While Max recharges Leo, Joe learns from his son that Anita has feelings and has a split personality.
After being recharged, Leo reveals to Mattie that part of his brain is synthetic. "Mia" took care of Leo when he was just a boy. As his family grew with Niska, Max, and Fred, Leo died in a car crash. His father brought him back from death and restored part of his memories. Mia raised Leo as if she were her own son.
Joe visits Laura and attempts to reconcile with her. Mattie then takes Leo back to her home to see Mia. Leo finds "Mia" in the sensory code and wakes her up. Finally reunited after being lost, Leo and Mia embrace each other.
As Laura joins Leo's mission to find the others, DI Karen Voss (Ruth Bradley) is close to finding Niska. With his wife filing for divorce, Pete Drummond (Neil Maskell) gets his head back on the case, making a connection to George.
While Karen and Pete start making out, Leo gets a call from Fred and discovers his location. Outside his house, Joe is making a call to the authorities about Leo.
Karen revels her feelings to Pete and recharges herself in front of him. After Pete runs out the door, Leo's car is pulled over by the police. A car chase ensues when Hobbs suddenly shows up.
Because he isn't fully recharged, Max sacrifices himself, jumps off the bridge, and sinks into the water.
