Of course, when your last name is Jolie, gummy bears and animal crackers simply are not good enough.
Angelina Jolie said in a Louis Vuitton's Core Values campaign interview her children like to eat fried crickets.
"My boys love to eat crickets," Jolie explained. "It's their favorite thing. They ate them like Doritos."
Before judging the Jolie-Pitt's, the well-traveled clan is constantly exposed to some of the strangest delicacies. Jolie introduced her brood of six to the delicacy while filming in Cambodia, where son Maddox was adopted.
Cambodians believe the crunchy cuisine is not only tasty but healthy. Crickets are rich in protein and reports suggest that they can help lower cholesterol. Her children quickly became hooked on the rare snack, compelling Jolie to scale back on the creepy critter for snack time.
"I had to actually ban the cricket eating at some point, because I was afraid they were gonna get sick from too many, but they're good -- they are like a potato chip," she said.
Though her palette has been well tested, the mom of six admitted she's hesitant to jump to other eccentric fares like tarantulas on a stick or spider soup. She said, "I don't know if I can get around the fur, but you got to try everything."
The "Maleficent" actress has said she has plans to retire from acting soon. She told Britain's Channel 4 News that while she loves acting, her family will ultimately come first.
"I will do some films and I am so fortunate to have the job, it's a really lucky profession to be a part of and I enjoy it. But if it went away tomorrow I would be very happy to be home with the children," Jolie said. "I think I'm going to have to give up the acting as the kids hit the teenage years, anyway, too much to manage at home."
Jolie and her longtime partner Brad Pitt have six children together. Three of them are adopted, including 11-year-old Maddox, 9-year-old Pax and 7-year-old Zahara. The remaining three children are all biological offspring of Jolie and Pitt, and they include 6-year-old Shiloh and 4-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.
