Bernie Sanders Portland Speech [VIDEO] Draws 28,000 People Following Republican Debate

When it comes to the 2016 Presidential Election Donald Trump is getting most of the mainstream attention – especially after that Republican debate – but someone is slowly climbing up the ranks in a monstrous way. Presidential candidate Bernie Sanders has been drawing larger and larger crowds with each event and in Portland, Oregon, more than 28,000 people came to see him. These are Freddie Mercury numbers – except the guy people came to see now might be the next President of the United States.

So far Sanders is by far the leading candidate when it comes to attendance and the Democrat from Vermont does it by attacking corporate greed in the United States. In all events he has drawn well over 100,000 people.

During yet another large event in Seattle Sanders lambasted the current workings of politics and greed.

"All across this country people are sick and tired of establishment politics, establishment economics and they want real change," he said. "The people of America understand that corporate greed is destroying our country."

Another of Sanders' platforms is education. According to him, the blaring costs of tuition are a "national disgrace." Back in May, he unveiled his College For All Act and he says the work-study program is for anybody burdened by $1.2 trillion worth of debt.

"We have to make sure that every qualified American in this country who has the ability and desire to go to college is able to go to college – regardless of the income of his or her family," he said. "It is totally unacceptable that Americans are drowning in $1.2 trillion in student loan debt. It is unacceptable that millions of college graduates cannot afford to buy their first home or their first car because of the outrageously high interest rates they are paying on student debt."
