Shateria L. Moragne-el Involved in Rick Ross Drive-By Shooting: Rapper's Girlfriend Passenger in Rolls Royce Crash [PHOTOS]

Early Monday morning (Jan. 28), Maybach Music Group rapper Rick Ross was the target of a dangerous drive-by shooting in Fort Lauderdale, FL. According to reports, Ross crashed his 2011 Rolls Royce on Los Olas Boulevard around dawn after an unidentified gunman in another vehicle opened fire aimed directly at the "God Forgives, I Don't" superstar. Ross quickly lost control of the Royce in an attempt to escape several flying bullets and crashed into the wall of a nearby apartment complex. Updated reports confirm that Ross and his fellow passenger, fashion designer girlfriend Shateria L. Moragne-el, went unharmed in the open gunfire attack and consequential car accident.

It's almost a miracle that both Ross and Moragne-el came out of the debacle uninjured, considering WSVN reported that "dozens" of gun shell casings were scattered around the scene of the drive-by. Only "two or three small palm trees" were uprooted in the crash.

Eye-witnesses confirm that Ross celebrated his 37th birthday at the LIV nightclub in Miami Beach on Sunday night before he made his way over to the Floridian restaurant in Fort Lauderdale to unwind the b-day festivities with some friends and girlfriend, Moragne-el.

Upon leaving, onlookers at the restaurant claim that they heard at least 15 shots fired from what sounded like a high-powered rifle.

While Ross has been involved in a bitter "beef" with the infamous gang "Gangster Disciples," no gang members have been named as suspects. Read more on GD's "death threats" aimed at Ross here.

According to the FLPD, the gunmen fled from the area prior to police arrival and are still unaccounted for:

"The Fort Lauderdale Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred during the early morning hours of Monday, January 28, 2013 at approximately 5:00 A.M. The shooting occurred near the intersection of Southeast 15th Avenue and East Las Olas Boulevard in the City of Fort Lauderdale. 

Preliminary investigation has revealed that a 2011 silver Rolls Royce was traveling eastbound on East Las Olas Boulevard, approaching Southeast 15 th Avenue. The occupants of the Rolls Royce heard multiple gunshots being fired in their direction. The driver of the Rolls Royce attempted to drive away from the direction of the shots being fired and lost control of the vehicle, striking a nearby apartment building. The driver of the vehicle has been identified as William L. Roberts, B/M, 01/28/76, a resident of the City of Davie. The passenger of the vehicle has been identified as Shateria L. Moragne-el, B/F, 02/26/84, also a resident of the City of Davie. 

There were no reported injuries. The suspects fled from the area prior to police arrival.

28-year-old Moragne-el owns the popular fashion label, Frontrow Couture. The luxurious clothing line was featured on the runaway at 2012's fall New York Fashion week where pop star JoJo performed (more info here). Some rumors have it that Ross and the fashion socialite have been dating for over five years. The duo were last spotted together on the Red Carpet at the Django Unchained premiere.
