Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt have been receiving death threats from the British public while appearing on the show Celebrity Big Brother. Though, to be fair to the good citizens of the United Kingdom, the couple is intentionally offending everyone and anyone they can while on the show. It seems like not a lot has changed from their days on The Hills. What is strange is that, when the couple first went overseas to start filming the show, the public loved the celebrity couple. Unfortunately, Heidi and Spencer prefer bad publicity so that quickly changed.
After falling lower and lower down the reality television star latter, Heidi and Spencer refused to fall out of the spotlight. So of course they decide to have a photo shoot with semi-automatic rifles and pistols. This was apparently a stance in support of the NRA in light of the United States' recent gun control issues, but nobody appreciated it. So off to the United Kingdom instead, where they were offered $500,000 to appear on Celebrity Big Brother. The audience was not familiar with the couple but would soon get a heavy dose of the imports.
According to Big Brother executives, Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt are easily the most despised contestants in the show's history. The show runs on tasks and challenges that build comradery between contestants in order to gain rewards. That is apparently too much for the couple in question. Heidi and Spencer show their true colors by not participating in the tasks and mocking and arguing with other contestants. Since the show takes place in a shared living quarters, the couple also seized a moment or two to take part in x-rated activities. Needless to say, Heidi and Spencer have received a lot of negative feedback on social networking sights in regards to their actions. Some viewers have even gone as far as to make death threats. Though these threats are most likely just irate fans of the show, Big Brother producers are taking no chances. Security details have been assigned to the couple for outings and any other time they need to leave the set.
Apparently viewers were, at first, enjoying what the couple brought to the show. The meddling and aggravation were entertaining but soon it got old and now the admiration has turned to hatred. This all seems so familiar in a way. And by that I mean it is exactly what happened here in the States when Heidi and Spencer figured out how to grow their celebrity. I wonder what country is next?
