Supermassive Games' 'Until Dawn' PS4 Gameplay 'Aftermath' Trailer Amid Release Date Gold!

The Until Dawn videogame has released new gameplay footage for the PlayStation 4. The Supermassive Games developers tease "Cause and Effect" in the Aftermath trailer as the exclusive PS4 horror/survival game has gone gold before its official August release date.

According to the official synopsis, eight friends find themselves trapped together on a remote mountain retreat. But these friends should be suspicious because they aren't alone. Gripped by dread, and with tensions running high, these eight friends must fight through their fear if they hope to make through the night in one piece.

As the gamer, you get play as each of the eight characters. You will experience fear like you never have before because your every decision affects them. Your actions alone will decide who survives at the end of Until Dawn. The story is written in collaboration with cult horror writer/directors Larry Fessenden (I Sell The Dead) & Graham Reznick (I Can See You).

The Playstation Blog has released a new trailer and describes the gameplay, "You won't always know what impact your choices will have until after you've made them - it was important to us that players shouldn't second guess their path through the story of Until Dawn. It's only after you've made a decision that you'll find out the consequences of that choice, sometimes only hours later."

There will be special pre-order bonus for those who choose to pick up the game from Amazon. In the extra bonus chapter, Emily (Bloom) and Matt (Fisher) encounter a new threat out in the snowy cold as they are accompanied by a whole new couple.

As we previously mentioned, the PlayStation 4 exclusive horror game has gone gold. This means the videogame is in a state considered ready to ship to retailers. Perfect timing too because the game is scheduled for release in just a matter of weeks. The videogame's gold status was announced by developer Supermassive Games via Twitter.

Until Dawn will be out exclusively for the PS4 on August 25th.
