5 Reasons Wilmer Valderrama, Robert Rodriguez's 'From Dusk Till Dawn' Season 2 Excites Us!

Based on the cult classic from Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez, El Rey Network premieres Season 2 of From Dusk Till Dawn this August. This is the perfect opportunity to watch Seth (D.J. Cotrona), Richie (Zane Holtz) Gecko, Carlos Madrigal (Wilmer Valderrama) up against a whole new cast, featuring Danny Trejo and more.

As we previously mentioned, Santánico (Eiza González) and Richie (Holtz) are outside Houston, living like Bonnie and Clyde, while Seth (Cotrona) and Kate (Madison Davenport) are scraping by south of the border. Freddie Gonzalez  Garcia) is protecting his wife and young daughter in a Houston suburb. As Carlos Madrigal (Valderrama) and Scott (Brandon Soo-Hoo) emerge from ruins of the Titty Twister, they will all come together to face off against an even bigger threat.

5) It's A Whole New Show

This is the official sequel to the From Dusk Till Dawn movie. As if it's rebooting itself, the show isn't going to follow the direct-to video sequels, Texas Blood Money and The Hangman's Daughter. The first season wouldn't have worked if it wasn't for the on-screen chemistry between D.J. Cotrona and Zane Holtz. And now we get to explore the Gecko brothers in unmarked territory.

4) The Baddest Mexican Ever!

This wouldn't be a Robert Rodriguez production if it didn't have Machete himself. The Heat actor has been cast as a new character for the series. Seen in this first look photo, known as "The Regulator," the horrifying agent of evil has been summoned to perform a deadly errand.

3) Jeff Fahey's In It!

If you saw the final season of Justified, then you know Fahey was just awesome as the tragic character, Zachariah. The Lost actor will star in a recurring role of Uncle Eddie Cruickshank. Adding something new to the mythology, the Gecko Brothers were raised by their uncle after their father died in a fire. Though he runs a TV/appliance repair shop in Houston, Texas, the place is really a cover.

2) Could He Be The Big Bad?

There might be new big bad this season, a bigger threat than the revenge-driven Madrigal. While killing it on The Brink, how do you top playing the President of the United States.? You play the ultimate bad guy! Esai Morales will play Lord Amancio Malvado, who has a complicated and obsessive relationship with Santánico.

1) Badass Chicks

The Sorority Row actress, Briana Evigan, plays Sonja, an American expatriate working as a tattoo artist in a Mexican Mercado. She also has another business forging papers and passports out of her backroom. Madison Davenport isn't playing naive and sweet anymore as Kate has become a strong and defiant vixen. Adding the sex appeal to the show, thank goodness Santánico (Eiza González) hasn't forgotten about her stripper days.

Season Two of From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series premieres August 25 on El Rey Network.
