Singer-songwriter, actor Barbara Streisand, 70, will be performing at the 85th Academy Awards, Feb. 24.
She will be making an appearance after a gap of 36 years. The legendary star was last on stage in 1977 when she won an award for the Best Original Song for "Evergreen" from "A Star Is Born."
The "Happy Days Are Here Again" singer will be back again on the Oscar stage in Los Angeles, Starpulse reported.
"In an evening that celebrates the artistry of movies and music, how could the telecast be complete without Barbra Streisand? We are honored that she has agreed to do a very special performance on this year's Oscars, her first time singing on the show in 36 years," said producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron.
She has also won the Best Actress Award for her role in William Wyler's romantic musical, "Funny Girl," in 1969. She has two Academy Awards and eight Grammy Awards.
She is known for using a teleprompter while giving live performances.
This year's Academy Awards will be having a tribute session to the past movie musicals. It will also have a special session of the James Bond franchise, where singer Adele is expected to perform the "Skyfall" movie's title song.
